RETAIL/RESERVATIONS
Individuals are responsible for handling information and reservation requests for river trips and bike and gear rentals. Additional responsibilities include assisting retail customers – answering questions, completing sales and inventory management. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess excellent organizational skills and have experience in cash register operation. Computer, Point-of-sale and office procedure experience is desirable. Knowledge of sportswear merchandise, rafting, biking and the Midway Park City area (attraction, activities, etc.) is a plus.
INTERNSHIP
Midway Adventure Company is seeking qualified university students looking for practical office experience with a leading outfitter.

QualificationsThe person qualifying for this internship should have superior academic work habits, strong written and verbal communication skills, and confidently be able to describe themselves as a self-starter who knows how to take the initiative with various office projects. Ideally, the intern will have a vehicle enabling travel to Park City hotels, home to our headquarters, and to Sundance Resort. The internship is open to all majors, especially those with a concentration in tourism management, recreation & leisure studies, communications, marketing, sustainability, and event planning.
Internship DescriptionThe Midway Adventure Co. Administrative Intern reports to the operations manager and or owner and supports the management team in the implementation of specific projects aimed at increasing business and gaining efficiency. This position also supports the office, by answering overflow phone calls and performing general administrative duties.
Possible duties & projects may include:
- Utilizing superior written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task to correspond with supervisors, colleagues and customers
- Coordinating online marketing initiatives aimed at increasing business, including tasks related to blogging and content generation, social media, online polls and contests, search engine optimization, language translation, etc.
- Special events planning and administration, e.g. raft races, festivals, VIP events, film screenings, presentations, etc.
- Creation of Power Point presentations, multi-media slideshows, trip overview documents, etc. for sales purposes
- Researching new markets
- Digital photo management & organization
- Competitive analysis
- Local business outreach and networking
- Operational cost analysis by trip & spreadsheet development
- Sustainability audit and/or responsible tourism projects
- Daily mail
- Entry of post-trip evaluation survey data into database
- Thank you cards & client details forms
- Data entry, fulfillment & customer follow up (forms, payment, etc.)

Although the start and end dates for this position are flexible, the internship requires an average of 40 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks May through Sept.

Summary: Responsible for every aspect of the bike repair shop operations for a given location as well the productivity of the mechanics and the quality of the repairs. Contributes to the overall success of the company by participating in all aspects of the business. This will also include helping with oil change schedule of gas powered rental fleet.

Commitment
The start and end dates for this position are end of may to the middle of Sep. There is training req at the end of may. You will have to commit to 7 days on the river and in class training along with taking the required First Aid and CPR classes so you will have to commit end of May for first aid and guide training. Guiding is generally and on call business. We work when the customers call. That being said the people that want to work and commit can get a lot of work. We do ask for any planned days off to be given to us in advanced. We will not offer more than a few days off during the heart of the season, first of June- Aug.

Requirements
- Currently, we can only accept applicants who can legally work in the United States or Canada.
- Must have some experience driving with trailers and larger vehicles like trucks or vans. CDL drivers a plus but we can train.
Commitment
The start and end dates for this position are generally May to the middle of Sep. Our business is generally and on call business. We work when the customers call. That being said the people that want to work and commit can get a lot of work. We do ask for any planned days off to be given to us in advanced. We will not offer more than a few days off during the heart of the season first of June- Aug.

DRIVER
Dear Potential Midway Adventure Driver:
Be a part of this hard working team that enjoys being outside. you will work in all weather conditions as you set up and prepare This job interacts with Guests and other and staff. Safety is a key priority for this group as they assist guests. This is a very relaxed job as most of the time you are hanging out by the river waiting for the rafters to arrive. We do offer training.
Requirements
- Currently, we can only accept applicants who can legally work in the United States or Canada.
- Must have some experience driving with trailers and larger vehicles like trucks or vans. CDL drivers a plus but we can train.
Commitment
The start and end dates for this position are generally May to the middle of Sep. Our business is generally and on call business. We work when the customers call. That being said the people that want to work and commit can get a lot of work. We do ask for any planned days off to be given to us in advanced. We will not offer more than a few days off during the heart of the season first of June- Aug.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely transport guest to and from trips and there hotels
- Seek to provide our guests with the best outdoor experience of their lives
- Provide a positive role model for children and facilitate kid-friendly activities
- Transport food supplies to and from trips.
- Care for MAC equipment
- Be a steward of the natural areas in which we travel
Qualifications
- Experience with driving larger vehicles
- CDL commercial drivers license (we can train you for this)
- Experience with trailers
- Capable of working long hours
- Team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent English
- Non-Smoker
